Responsibilities of a Catalog Coordinator for the Ohio Learning Network (OLN) include:

A. Serves as the central point-of-contact for all activities associated with the management of the OhioLearns (http://www.ohiolearns.org) catalog at a designated college or university (home institution). The OLN catalog coordinator works with OLN and assists with the coordination of OhioLearns activities on campus.

B. Maintains the online catalog at the institution by:

  • Disseminating pertinent catalog information within home institution;
  • Assisting with the soliciting of new online courses, degrees and programs for inclusion in OhioLearns, within the home institution;
  • Assisting with the internal process of review for proposed courses, degrees and programs within OhioLearns in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding and Principles of Good Practice
  • Maintaining institution’s courses, degrees and programs for OhioLearns information pages to ensure information is current and correct;
  • Maintaining “Institutional Information” section within the OhioLearns Maintenance site to provide current and correct institutional information for courses, degrees and programs transition pages.

C. Assists with the preparation and review of data for online courses, degree and programs offered by the home institution in cooperation with the campus HEI reporter/liaison for the OLN/HEI yearly e-learning report.

D. Participates in the on-going operation and development of policies and procedures for OhioLearns and in the assessment activities of the online catalog. This includes providing recommendations to improve the training manual Wiki (http://ohiolearns.wetpaint.com/)
